Ineligible Vehicles

Volkswagen Extended Warranty . com offers coverage to a wide variety of new and used vehicles provided they meet Volkswagen's and Fidelity Warranty Services underwriting criteria. We reserve the right to reject coverage to any vehicle not meeting our underwriting criteria or not passing an inspection (if necessary).

We can not offer coverage to the following:

• The vehicle is greater then 9 previous model years old.
• The vehicle mileage has surpassed 140,000 miles.
• The factory warranty has expired in either time or mileage.
• The vehicle is known to be mechanically inoperable.
• The vehicle has known defects.
• The vehicle has alterations not authorized by the manufacturer.
• The vehicle has a branded or salvage title (severely damaged).
• The vehicle has a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of more than 14,000 pounds and is ineligible for Medium Duty Truck Coverage.
• The vehicle is being used for daily rental or as a limousine, taxi, school or church bus, shuttle service, tow truck/vehicle carrier, carpet cleaning van/truck, or to transport people for a fee.
• The vehicle manufacturer's New Vehicle Limited Warranty covering the vehicle has been voided (applies only to Agreements purchased during the term of such warranty).
• The vehicle has received modifications that do not meet manufacturer's specificiations, including, but not limited to, modifications to permit trailering, towing, carpet cleaning or snowplowing; lift kits; high performance engine modfication; or belt driven power take-off.
• The vehicle is being used in business on a regular basis unless specifically identified on the Contract Registration as Business, Snowplow or Emergency use.
• Vehicles that are delivered from the factory as Incompletes and subsequently upfitted or structurally modified are not eligible for Mechanical or Maintenance coverage.
• The vehicle has been modified for towing.
• Exotic and high performance vehicles. This includes but not limited to Aston Martin, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Lotus, Maserati, and Peugeot.
• Any manufacturer or model not listed in our quotation system.
